A. Definition of Narrative
Narrative is a text focusing some specific participants that that have several structural features making different from other genres. Narrative is used most often in : Fables, Myths and legends, Detective Stories, Thrillers, Period Dramas.
B. Generic Structure of Narrative
They are:
v Orientation : Introducing the participants and informing the time, the place and introduce some characters involved in this genre.a
v Complication : Describing the rising crises which the participants have to do with or among participants relationship in a process of social interaction.
v Resolution : Where the problems in the story is solved.
v Coda : Which summarizes the point of the story and moral message we may get.
C. Language Forms of Narrative
They are:
E Using processes verbs : tell, says, narrates.
E Using temporal conjunction : chronological Order.
E Using Simple past tense : present tense, and future tense,present perfect, present continuous and past continuous.
Descriptive Text
A. Definition of descriptive
Descriptive is a text which says what a person or a thing is like. Its purpose is to describe and reveal a particular person,place or thing.
B. Generic Structure of Descriptive

v Topic Sentence
v Supporting sentence
v Concluding sentence
v Logical development
C. L language Forms
Language forms of descriptive they are:
E Using linking verb or verb of senses such as look, smell, taste, see, seem.
E Using three parameter of senses :visual, auditory, and smell.
E Using spatial order in which preposition precedes the verb and the subjects.
E Using multiple tenses based on the time : past, present and future.

A. Definition expository
Expository is a paragraph that explains or analyzes a topic is an expository paragraph ( smaller and brunette). And than Expository paragraph can be divided into several model of writings: such as process paragraph, and procedure paragraph.
